PAT JACKSON MEMORIAL DANCE SCHOLARSHIP
Pat Jackson was a dance educator who was presented the Bob Fosse Educator Award in L.A. in 1997. This scholarship is being given in her honor. Pat was positive, inspiring and a loving dance instructor that didn’t just motivate thousands of students in dance, but motivated and inspired others to live life to it’s fullest and follow their dreams. Everyone who met her felt a special energy and love she had for all of mankind. Pats legacy still lives on in the hearts of her dancers. Pat’s philosophy and love for dance is still very much alive previously at Dance Ten, and now her legacy still continues on at Solid Gold Dance.
This scholarship will be given and awarded to a dancer who will benefit and train very hard to be the best that they can possibly be in the art of dance. The dancer who qualifies for this scholarship must have at least 5 years of training at PRDT/SGD.
This dancer will be considered an ambassador to the dance studio and a top and positive role model for other students. Students need to submit a one page letter why they think they want and deserve the scholarship. Please describe why you like to dance and write a little information about yourself. Submit no later than May 22, 2025. This dance scholarship will last from July 2025 to June 2026.

SOLID GOLD DANCE COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP
Here at Solid Gold Dance we believe that we exist for more than just ourselves. Our desire is to give back to those dancers that set the bar in many areas and exude leadership skills. We expect the scholarship students to set a precedent for the studio in: attendance, work ethic, and respect, as well as set aside time to assist and give back to the younger dancers. Dancing brings life, freedom and creates community, we hope that we will be able to give the gift of dance to many young dancers to come. We have seen first-hand and experienced the impact that dance can have on an individual’s life. Further, we have seen the personal growth both on and off the stage that can occur in participants of our competition dance team.
At Solid Gold Dance we strive to provide a dance program that teaches students to develop their talent, confidence, self-esteem, and friendships in a balanced and professional environment. This scholarship is for a competing dancer that knows dance is a privilege and is in place to alleviate the initial cost of choreography fees. Students need to submit a one page letter why they think they want and deserve the scholarship. Please describe why you like to dance and write a little information about yourself. Submit no later than May 22, 2025. This dance scholarship will last from July 2025 to June 2026.
